Specializing in serving trans and queer clients, I work from a psychoanalytic perspective informed by existential, phenomenological, and depth oriented approaches to psychotherapy, and believe these orientations are uniquely suited to understanding queer and trans experience. I have been working in private practice for approximately 9 years, and community mental health settings for the previous 9 years, during which I have built a focus on working with gender variant individuals in long term therapy, as well as written several hundred letters of support for gender confirming surgeries.

I approach therapy as an exercise in devotion, curiosity, and paradox: we all are striving, often as hard as we can, to solve life's problems, move past stumbling blocks, and grow in our senses of meaning and intentionality. Yet we all also fall short in these practices, often getting in our own way, hitting up against old patterns, or finding ourselves unable to make sense of the things that have happened to us. In my practice, I work to help clients untangle these paradoxes, and to see for themselves the themes of their lives and the ways in which they would prefer to live.

All services offered via telehealth.

I specialize in working with issues related to gender and sexuality, particularly those related to trans identity, gender identity, and gender variance. I think analytic sensibilities are particularly important when working with trans populations, and that trans people are well suited to and thoroughly deserving of the depth and complexity of care that psychoanalysis and psychodynamic psychotherapy afford.
